I wrote this parody country song under the direction of Dr. Jay Hodgson at Western University, London, ON, Canada, for a songwriting independent study. At the time, I wasn't very fond of country music (these days I've grown to appreciate it), and in response, Jay challenged me to write in the rawest of country sub-genres: outlaw country. After some brain-storming, we decided that I would write the song as an extended jingle for an imaginary trucking company in America. "Cletus Truckin' Co." is the result of this songwriting exercise. Enjoy!
